Position Summary:
Assist the Quality Manager and Manufacturing team to solve quality related problems and ensure released processes and procedures are being followed appropriately.
The ability to interact with highly confidential information in a professional manner, interact courteously with staff members and management team, remain flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient; professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Written and verbal communication skills, work and attention to details are equally important.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1) Act as main customer and supplier contact for various products/projects
2) Generate PPAPs to customers. Review Supplier PPAP submissions
3) Generate 8Ds. Review supplier submitted 8Ds
4) Resolve internal (plant) and external (customer, supplier) quality issues
5) Maintain Flow Charts, Control Plans, PFMEAs, Receiving Inspection Cards, checklists and other process documentation
6) Perform internal audits
7) Assist with TS16949 implementation
8) Maintain LPA schedule and reporting
9) Gather data and report on the following: scrap, rework, PPM, etc.
10) Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
11) Knowledge of the following: Metrology, SPC, APQP, PPAP, ISO9001, TS16949, internal audits, 8D, Problem Solving
12) Ability to read and interpret blueprints required
13) Will work in office and plant environment (constant back and forth)
14) Additional duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field
2) 3 years quality related experience in an automotive related company
3) Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
4) Ability to work in team oriented environment
5) Take hands-on approach when required
6) Experience dealing with car OE’s
7) Knowledge of ISO:14001
8) Able to travel up to 20% in US and Canada
