Up to $17/hr (+ shift prem.)
1st shift, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
2nd shift, 2:30pm - 11:30pm (5% shift prem., $17.85)
3rd shift, 11:30pm - 7:30am (10% shift prem., $18.70)
Set Up / Operator/ Tech. to set up, operator and maintain an Automated Transfer Press Line (10-15 manuf. steps to produce crush tube column; forming, bending and welding of tubular parts).
Responsibilities:
Start, set up automated line
Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and machine sensor issues.
Check first piece to very quality.
Understand the basics of part quality e.g. burrs inside holes, marks on part, use go /no go pins
Stand on feet for long periods of time.
A plus to be able to running basic tool room equipment e.g. mill, grinder, drill press
Maintaining spare details using Kahn Bahn System
Requirements:
Knowledge metal punching and/or metal forming
Demonstrate a basic understanding of metal stamping processes and auxiliaries such as manual feed, coining operations, embossing, forming, blanking, piercing, and/or drawing.
Demonstrate ability to recognize and explain the function (including controls, mechanical devices, tooling components and auxiliaries) of the types of presses found in the facility.
Show a working knowledge of material/part conformance standards and basic SPC recording techniques.
Be able to recognize common equipment problems and adverse material conditions.
Show familiarity in the use of calipers, micrometers, scales/tape measure and gages.
