If you are reading this and you are an experienced Java Developer, let me apologize. Why? You might ask. You are going to help us change the world and that is a huge burden you might not be prepared for.
Opportunity:
The world of drug and disease discovery is changing at the speed of light. Today, a genome can be sequenced in a matter of hours for a few thousand dollars. The resulting data can be several hundred GBs in size. It is the ability to interpret these huge data files that is severely lagging. That’s where we come in.
Our team at Advaita has developed a novel analysis method that lets researchers quickly decipher their data and identify potential drug targets. There are others that claim to do this, but we do it better, faster, cheaper, and offer additional insights the others cannot. We have the most robust analysis method that accurately pinpoints which genes are responsible and shows the researchers where to target various drugs. This technology is the cornerstone of personalized medicine – and personalized medicine will change the world.
Angelina Jolie decided to have a double mastectomy because she tested positive for the BRCA1 gene mutation. There are many other diseases that have single gene markers/causes just like BRCA1, but there are no tests for them. We can detect them. We can help save people by developing a diagnosis on a person's genome. We can change the world. Are you ready to help change it with us?
Over two-thirds of all Phase II clinical trials cannot proceed to Phase III because of inconclusive outcomes resulting in billions of wasted research dollars. With whole genome sequencing rapidly approaching the sub-$1,000 level, Advaita’s latest endeavor will allow pharmaceutical companies to accurately predict “responders” from “non-responders” and could become the basis for making personalized medicine a reality.
