General Summary
The Fleet Acquisition Manager oversee the strategic design, specifications, and procurement of fleet assets in excess of 7000+. This position will require a full understanding of the utility business. The position will actively engage in client interactions by bringing functional expertise to stake holders to drive business solutions by utilizing lean processes removing waste and tracking performance indicators. Yearly capital responsibility for this role can reach up to $80M. A functional requirement of this role will include building a strong customer service relationship with Gas and Electric Operations to support employee safety, productivity, while procuring a regulatory compliant fleet. This position directs a diverse team of 8 exempt and non-exempt roles. Travel in and out of state required. This position will be required to work extensively with high level leadership and Fleet Operations to collaborate and strategically align on Fleet Life Cycle and Capital Purchase Plan. This position will be responsible for providing proactive solutions to our field operations through extensive benchmarking and partnering with suppliers to innovate new solutions.
Job Description / Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of Fleet purchase plan procurement. Current and future year plans
Align Fleet life cycle strategies and track enhancement capabilities to improve quality and reduce cost of materials and services with future focus
Manage contract creation, execution, and analysis of contracts in excess of $100M
Lead initiatives internally and externally to improve operator safety, standardize fleet specifications, lower total cost of ownership and increase unit availability
Manage the residual and depreciation accounts for a fleet of 7,000+
Drive process excellence in areas of specification and design to provide industry best practices and functional discipline to achieve world class performance while delivering hometown service
Responsible for decommissioning and sale of out of lifecycle assets
Oversee compliance of licensing and permitting

Requirements/Qualifications
7 Years Managing Fleet's capital purchase plan while ensuring Fleet is providing a safe, reliable, regulatory compliant, cost effective fleet to support operational goals and objectives.
Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Automotive Technology required
