About this Opportunity
Herman Miller is looking for a Digital Software Engineer-NetSuite to join our Digital Engineering and Platforms team. As a engineer on the team you'll own and support existing customization as well as scoping, designing, and developing new features and functionality in our NetSuite environment. Although the primary focus is on NetSuite functionality, extensive knowledge of developing integrations and interfacing data into other retail applications is required.

What You'll Do
You'll have opportunities to speak up, solve problems, lead others, and be an owner every day as someone who . . .
Administer Herman Miller systems: user setup, light configuration.
Develop integrations and interfaces from host system to other retail applications such as POS, OMS, PIM, WMS, Enterprise Allocation and Planning.
Maintain documentation for NetSuite customizations, processes, and trouble-shooting steps.
Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (code reviews, sprints, scrum meetings) as well as cross-training with other members of the development team.
Participate in the verification and testing of system build deployments.
Partner with Business Analysts and business experts to review bugs/issues, advise on capabilities native to the NetSuite platform and design solutions for non-standard requirements.
Perform technical analysis, design, configuration, scripting, and implementation of NetSuite customizations and functionality.
Review escalated system issues/bugs from the Helpdesk team to determine if technical changes are required and create and propose well-considered solutions.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have . . .
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5-7 years' programming and/or customizing applications & platforms.
Minimum 5 years in a dynamic retail environment and/or working with financial teams.
3-5 years' NetSuite development/customization.
Experience working in a SOX and PCI compliant organization.
Experience with Agile development methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban).
Strong analysis skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Experience with NetSuite scripting (SuiteTalk, SuiteScripting, Workflows).
Strong knowledge of Product Lifecycle from Item creation, PO creation/maintenance to receiving.
Knowledge of different selling channels contract, website, wholesale, dropship.
Working experience in windows environment, HTML, JavaScript, XML, JSON, Version control experience preferred SOAP, ReST/oData, SQL proficiency.
Familiar and comfortable with SOX compliance requirements and source control methodologies.
Understanding of Financial and Accounting practices preferred.
Salesforce API & APEX, .NET (C#) and SCIS (SuiteCloud In-Store) experience is a plus.
