Job Summary
The Pricing Analyst, SR is responsible for performing data analytics on the most complex new and current opportunities for the organization. The result of this analysis is strategy input and development for both Sales and Executive leadership through highly effective written and oral presentation.
Description of Essential Job Functions
* Understand complex contract language and tariff application
* Perform detailed costing and revenue analysis based on multi departmental input (Sales, Pricing, Linehaul, Operations)
* Interpret analysis output for Sales presentation to buyers, assist Sales with negotiation preparation.
* Perform “What if” analysis under different pricing scenarios to compare net results
* Data mine shipping patterns and shipment characteristics to identify opportunities for increased yields, improved network density, and reduced costs
* Collaborate with Pricing leadership to establish and implement pricing strategy and tactical plan.
* Present analysis findings to Executive leadership and determine level of confidence in those findings.
* Complete understanding of Con-way systems including BASE V, Salesforce, Pricing Operations Management System, Rate Aid Tool (RAT, RATL), MSTR
* Quickly resolve rating problems of complex pricing structures.
* Understand and create strategies around off bill incentive (OBI) programs that impact multimillion dollar opportunities.
* Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to others in the Pricing Department.
* Be a member of the escalation decision support structure
* Perform reporting for management level and departmental review
