These positions are part of the Enhanced Infrastructure Replacement Project (EIRP) to replace gas pipeline over the next several years, and is seasonal.
This Field Leader position is responsible for the safe and productive execution of gas distribution field work focusing on the installation and replacement of distribution facilities with the gas lines construction workforce statewide. The supervisor will provide direct supervision to 15 to 20 union employees. Responsibilities include leading, training and providing technical expertise to gas distribution field employees, interacting with customers, and directing work activities to meet established work plans and objectives. Candidates must be able to lead and collaborate with peers, subordinates and supporting departments to create/maintain a work environment that supports each other to reach common goals of safety and health initiatives, compliance programs, and productivity.
Project
Candidate must have a minimum of five years experience with a strong mechanical background in natural gas utility work along with expertise in the construction of gas distribution facilities and tapping/control work. Candidate must be skilled in Mueller control equipment and heavy equipment operations and must be capable of passing a respiratory fit test. Experience working in a union environment, knowledge of our working agreement, and prior supervisory experience is a plus. Competent abilities are required in the area of safe work practices, problem solving, communications, decision-making, team building, and leadership. This posting is for a Gas Fielder I/II and will be filled at the highest level.
