Job Description:
This position is located in Saginaw, MI. For the right candidate, we offer a generous relocation package.
This position supports electrical system design for embedded control systems using state of the art microcontrollers. The job involves specification and design of electrical functions that are to be implemented into an embedded control module through the use of electrical circuits, microcontroller peripherals and software algorithms.
Job Requirements: Required Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers.
- Deep understanding of microcontroller peripherals, their use and configuration options.
- Ability to read and understand embedded software (C and assembly language)
- Understanding of basic electrical circuit design and debug.
- Ability to use typical electrical bench equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, etc)
- Ability to create software algorithm designs (state machines, flow diagrams, etc)
- Working knowledge of CAN serial communications, including vehicle messaging and diagnostic service implementations.
- Ability to create, read and understand models developed in Simulink.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Excellent debug / troubleshooting skills
- Proficient with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Visio, etc)
- Support meetings / presentations internally and with customers to discuss electrical designs and diagnostic implementations.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience with a requirements management tool such as DOORs (by Telelogic)
- Familiarity with formal problem solving skills (Fishbone analysis, etc)
- Ability to use in circuit emulators or debuggers
Education:
Bachelor - Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
