Position Description/Requirements Dow Corning’s Process Solutions organization is currently looking for aFinancial Business Process Steward (FI BPS) to join our team. This position will be based at Dow Corning’s Corporate Headquarters in Midland, MI and report directly to our Financial Business Process Manager. As a FI BPS at Dow Corning you will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, implementation and support of our financial applications and processes. Primary Responsibilities: As a FI BPS at Dow Corning you will provide primary support to projects and deliverables for treasury management process improvements. The Business Process Senior Analyst FI BPS is responsible for meeting the needs of the Treasury function, essentially the functional and technical goals outlined in their portfolio. The Business Process Senior Analyst FI BPS is required to translate requirements into effective solutions while providing direction on process improvement initiatives. In this role, he/she will gain a strong understanding of workflows in SAP Finance module and in the IT2 Treasury Management System and of the associated interfaces to these systems. In addition, the Business Process Senior Analyst FI BPS is responsible for the daily support of the ongoing automation of data transfer to and from both internal and external systems. He/She performs operations support duties, debug and troubleshoot problems as they arise, and resolve security issues. Finally but not limited to, the Business Process Senior Analyst FI BPS assists the Treasury group with the preparations of the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing process and other specific IT duties and responsibilities as required by the Treasury Group. Required Education and Experience: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Accounting, Finance or related field is required as well as a minimum of 4 years of professional experience. The selected candidate must have at least 2 years of experience with the configuration and, technical support or programming of SAP. A preference will be given to those candidates with experience in SAP FI module. Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment. The individual most demonstrates the capacity to build and maintain strong business relationships with all levels of staff and management in the Treasury and Accounting groups based in Midland and other respective finance personnel. The individual is expected to develop a broad understanding of the Dow Corning’s Enterprise Information model and processes and have a propensity for learning processes beyond Finance. The selected candidate must demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities: • The ability to fully translate business needs into functional requirements and design specifications • Strong analytical, problems solving, and communication skills (proficiency oral and written English) • Ability to effectively present information and communicate in a professional and timely manner • Strong organization skills and ability to work independently and efficiently • Superior work ethic • Be a team player and have a “can-do” attitude The individual will have to be willing to accommodate his/her working hours with the needs of projects and User support; meetings early in the morning and in the evenings are expected as well as hours on call support.
