The Test Manager is a key position in our Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) responsible for managing test delivery for application projects. This role manages testing resources to complete all testing activities including test estimation, test planning, test preparation and test execution. This role ensures successful delivery of TCoE testing services.
Project
General work responsibilities include managing test resources, ensuring completion of testing activities for successful delivery of projects. reviewing and approving testing artifacts and deliverables, performing demand and resource management of testing resources and ensuring transparency of testing efforts as well as transparency of the quality of the applications being delivered
Tasks
Specific work responsibilities include:
Manage TCoE Test Leads and TCoE Test Analyst providing guidance, oversight and work product reviews
Oversee project testing activities providing direction, support and issue resolution
Review and approve testing artifacts and deliverables
Manage TCoE testing service delivery
Participate in RFP process to ensure vendors have appropriate testing maturity
Ensure vendor supplied testing services comply with our TCoE processes and standards
Identify and mitigate testing risks, escalating as appropriate
Establish metrics and track related progress providing timely and accurate status reporting
Perform demand and resource management of testing resources
Support improvements to TCoE testing processes and practices
Support TCoE initiatives and continuous improvement

Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree preferably in an Information Technology field and requires 3-5 years exp as a testing lead, test process experience and people management experience.
This position will be filled at a salary grade of 16-18 depending upon the selected candidate.
This position will be located at the Jackson Commonwealth Commerce Center, located on Francis Street, between W Washington Ave and W Wesley Street in downtown Jackson. The successful candidate must have 5+ years of experience as a Test Manager and/or Test Lead, managing test resources to successfully deliver testing services. The successful candidate must have 3-5 years of Test Management experience leading test planning, test preparation and test execution activities. The candidate must have experience managing Automated Testing services and Performance Testing services. This role must have experience in creating the following testing deliverables:
Test Estimation in origination, plan and design phases of our Systems Development Life Cycle for all types of testing
Test Strategy
Test Plans for all types of testing
Test Scenarios and Test Cases
Test Sign Off
Test Execution Dashboards
Test Planning and Test Execution Status Reports
Defect Capture and Reports
Testing Issues and Risk Capture and Reports
