Our organization has been retained to fulfill a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) position in an established and growing private owned internal medicine practice in Southeastern, Michigan. The NP will work under the supervision of the primary care physician. Duties include conducting physical exams, diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions and counsel patients on preventive health care services, as delegated by the physician. NP is expected to work as member of the health care team, take medical histories, examine and treat patients, order and interpret laboratory tests and x rays, and make diagnoses, and assist with practice management. NP will be required to conduct minor outpatient procedures, prescribe medications, record progress notes, instruct and counsel patients, and order or carry out therapy. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, family members and the healthcare team. The interested applicant must have a strong work ethic, and work as a team member. Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a minimum of a Masters of Science in Nursing, including six (6) to twelve (12) months of clinical internship. Licensed to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse and a Nurse Practitioner.
