Position Summary:
The Metal Fabricator will design, and construction of various jigs/fixtures, research and implementation of projects related to manufacturing process, safety, continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
- The Metal Fabricator will research and develop creative and effective solutions for manufacturing and product launch projects
- The Metal Fabricator initiates and develops methods for improving department operation and overall operation of the manufacturing process
- Welding & fabrication of metal reinforcements for various production molds
- Welding & assembly of all types of jigs, fixtures used in manufacturing
- Orders and maintains department supplies
Education and Experience:
- Knowledge of manufacturing process and Tiara quality goals
- Ability to research and problem solve a variety of production issues
- Excellent team and communication skills
- Familiarity with the following metal working tools: horizontal band saw, drill press, MIG welder, iron worker acetylene torch, pipe bender
- Familiarity with hi-lo, hoists, and man lift
- Knowledge of basic wood working machines: table saw, band saw, radial arm saw
- Experience with the following hand tools: drill, driver, tap and dies, files, etc.
- Knowledge of basic shop math
- 1-3 years previous experience desired with ability to read blueprints
- Boat assembly experience is a plus
- MIG welding experience is desired
