Position Overview:
Plan and supervise maintenance operations and coordinate activities with other departments and the general public of 494-site RV campground. Position is full-time (exempt) that may require the individual to work weekends and holidays during summer months.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintenance
- Implement and perform processes for regular maintenance of buildings and grounds.
- Oversee care of campground equipment and supplies.
- Manage natural resources, including trees and water (lakes as well as water system to sites and buildings).
Supervise
- Train and evaluate personnel, coordinate staff training.
- Assign work activities to maintenance staff
- Review and evaluate work processes, methods, and procedures
Communication
- Participate in cross department meetings to provide update of maintenance activities.
- Work with management to develop goals and priorities for maintenance activities.
- Work with all staff to coordinate maintenance activities and provide support for campground services.
Professional
- Adhere to regulatory requirements established for campgrounds at the local, county and state government levels.
- Conduct one self in a positive and professional manner with customers, suppliers, and others as a representative of Haas Lake Park RV Campground
Job Qualifications and Requirements
Earned high school diploma or GED. Experience in hospitality/service/golf industry as maintenance supervisor preferred.
Knowledge of RV camping helpful, but not required.
This position requires a professional demeanor and an orientation toward customer service.
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively (orally and in writing).
Flexible in work habits and work schedule, including situations ranging from routine to emergency.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Position requires dispensing of propane.
Experience in operating heavy equipment (especially road grader, front-end loader, bulldozer, and mini excavator) helpful, but not required.
