The Reliability Engineer position is the second level of Engineer in the Engineering Department. This level is for the employee with some relevant work experience who has mastered basic engineering skills. The focus of this position is on receiving and applying information appropriately, and looking for opportunities to improve areas of engineering knowledge. The position will lead projects or phases of programs of minimal to moderate complexity and risk (with low probability of intangibles), and medium duration (typically 6 months). A moderate level of creativity (i.e., looking for innovative solutions) is expected.

Specific Duties:
Leads change in equipment risk management and reliability processes in accordance with industry standards and internal requirements.
Originates and develops analysis methods for determining reliability of components, equipment, and processes.
Evaluate the failure rates and maintenance costs of equipment and processes, and helps manage the risks that could adversely affect business operations.
Prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations, and reports for defining reliability problems and makes recommendations for improvements.
Leads/facilitates failure mode and effect analysis, to identify components, equipment, and processes posing excessive failure risks.
Oversee and participate in post-implementation assessments of actual costs and realized benefits of process improvement activities.
Evaluate, recommend, and acquire tools for use, including process analysis software, and other physical tools and resources specific to reliability and maintenance improvement.
Assess Operational Excellence progression and coordinate with the Continuous Improvement Manager, Continuous Improvement and Manufacturing Operational Excellence Leads.
