Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate an injection molding machine(s) and/or assembly equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Arrive at your workstation ten minutes prior to shift change to communicate machine performance, quality issues, and review standard operating procedures.
- Inspect parts produced in accordance with standard operating procedures and by the comparison of parts to visual aids provided.
- Count and record scrap parts as well as good parts produced on the “Operator Production Data” sheet throughout the shift.
- Communicate excessive scrap and defect production to a Quality Auditor, Quality Inspector and/or Shift Supervisor throughout the shift.
- Package parts in accordance with packaging instructions.
- Label packaging in accordance with labeling instructions.
- Use the counting scales correctly to count bulk packed parts
- Be able to use grinders correctly and safely – Safety glasses must be worn at all times while grinding parts, do not stand on stools or buckets to dump parts in grinder, do not overload the grinder and always verify what grinder is to be used for what material so material is not contaminated
- Clean your work area in accordance with housekeeping guidelines.
Qualifications
Experience, Education and Licensure
- No prior experience or training.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to appreciate proper safety techniques.

- The noise level in the work environment is moderate, ear plugs maybe be requested if desired.
- Safety glasses are required for eye protection at the grinder stations but are not required in the isles, offices, bathrooms, or the receiving inspection area or the shipping area.
