POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Demonstrate teaching effectiveness which supports student learning and encompasses pedagogies for student success to meet course or program requirements.
2.Possess the ability to work in a variety of settings which promote quality learning.
3.Maintain professional development to assure currency within field of practice.
4.Possess effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
5.Teaching load will consist primarily of teaching core communication classes; Communication 112, Fundamentals of Oral Communication, and COM114, Interpersonal Communication.
6.Opportunity exists to teach more advanced courses.
Required Qualifications
1.Master’s degree in Communication by date of hire. Degree emphasis should be interpersonal communication, with secondary areas such as persuasion, intercultural communication, organizational communication, and small group communication.
2.Experience in teaching.
Additional Experiences Considered
1.Online teaching experience.
2.Experience teaching diverse student populations.
3.Experience with teaching courses for dual enrollment initiatives.
