Actively recruiting an experienced press brake operator to set up and operate a press brake used to form sheet plate.  The position is for experienced metal plate, press brake operators ONLY.  There is a strong company focus on quality and customer service.

This is not a stamping press position.  

Job requirements:  The right candidate must have the following abilities/experience:

• High school diploma and at least 2 years of  “on the job” experience setting up and operating a press brake to form metal plate

• the ability to read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings and have Mathematical aptitude

• possess a strong working knowledge of tolerances

• understand the function of press brake back gauges and how to set them

• be able to select the proper tooling based on looking at the job as well as loading and setting the tooling properly

• be familiar with basic hand held measuring tools

• Must be available to work Saturday hours, if needed

• The operator must be a “thinking person” with strong attention to detail and ability to follow concise directions

• Ability to work well with others with minimal supervision (some jobs will require a helper)

• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

• Good verbal and written communication skills

We also prefer the candidate to have the following abilities/experience:

• experience with Pacific and Cincinnati press brakes

• would ideally have experience forming thicker types of plate ~ approximately ¼” – 1.00” thick

• should be familiar and able to do their own “shimming” of the dies

• should be familiar with and efficient at scrolling/bump forming accurately

• Need to be flexible and willing to operate other machinery or assemble if necessary
