Candidate will be responsible for the development and continuous improvement of molded polyurethane parts.
Development:
Work with sales department and customer to define the desired properties of new products and create roadmaps on how to get there. Define DOE parameters and perform product development runs. Assist in training operators in new processes or process changes.
Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze quality data to target continuous improvement cost/benefit.
- Implement improvement ideas in areas such as: Tooling, formulation, pour path, spray path, process, etc.
- Perform reactivity and calibration testing and train operators in calibration and testing
- Work with Quality Dept. on improvement of process flow diagrams, control plans, and pFMEA’s, and standard work instruction
- Support plant 5S activities
- Perform safety evaluation of new equipment and processes
Prepare SOP’s for critical production processes.
Requirements:
- 1-3 Years of experience in a similar role. (Automotive manufacturing setting)
- Must be a team player….able to interact well with all levels of employees.
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline. Will consider experienced candidates without degrees.
Pay beginning at $55,000.00. Additional compensation commensurate with experience. Benefits available.
