Summary: The T3 Education Liaison will coordinate, develop and support T3 PreK-16 activities with higher education, business, community, and public sector talent to ensure capital region workers have the skills to fill projected regional employment opportunities. The position will facilitate T3 Council and action committee meetings that will foster strong collaborations and partnerships and reinforce the T3 commitment to recognizing, enhancing, and promoting diversity in all forms, thereby ensuring that we are reflective and responsive to the needs of the diverse region we serve. The position will develop, plan, and lead the implementation of T3 Council events, including the MiCareer Quest Capital Area Event held annually. The T3 Council serves as the educational arm to the Capital Area Michigan Works! Workforce Development Board (WDB) on career and educational issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Coordinate resources and events with T3 Council educators, employers, and community partners;
- Event planning coordination;
- Leadership and facilitation of multiple committees;
- Membership engagement and relationship management;
- Maintain content on T3 website;
- Write required T3 Council monthly and annual reports;
- Developing a sustainable funding structure;
- Fundraising and sponsorship capture;
- Travel to events and meet with educators and community partners.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution; Master's Degree preferred.
- Ability to work among groups of educators, employers, and community partners in building relationships;
- Experience in fundraising activities and/or grant seeking a plus;
- Detail-oriented & organized;
- Strong oral and written communication along with being comfortable and adept at public speaking;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Strong Computer skills with experience using the Microsoft Office Suite as well as web content management software;
- Ability to communicate effectively with educators and community partners.
Annual Salary: $40,000-$50,000
