WE WORK WITH THE TOP AUTO GROUPS IN THE U.S. POSITION: We are seeking a full-time PHP developer to maintain and enhance a custom web-based CRM and Inventory Management platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong LAMP background with heavy emphasis on PHP code, MySQL design, and query development. OPPORTUNITY: As an Applications Developer at ACE, your responsibilities will include planning, researching, designing, coding, testing and deploying database-driven web-based applications that support our customer base, affiliates and internal users. JOB FUNCTIONS: -Work with other developers and project managers when assigned to solve new and existing technical challenges. -Manage development projects from inception to completion autonomously and independently. -Implement integrations with all manners of backend systems, both proprietary and third party. -Team Leadership/Supervisory functions to manage resource direction and work load of individual contributors. -Provide administration support, tools and documentation for specific projects. -Design application and data base structures for performance and scalability. -Deliver accurate project requirement and timeline estimates, providing regular feedback and consistently meet project deadlines. -Additional opportunities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: -A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, software development, information technology, information systems, or equivalent work experience. -Established portfolio of work and code samples -Minimum 5 years experience in support and development of production applications -Minimum 3 years experience in Supervisor/Team Leadership capacity Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Ability Requirements: -Proficiency required (minimum 5 years experience) with the following: *Linux/Apache web servers *PHP 4/5 *MySQL database design/administration *XHTML/CSS web page layout design *Javascript development using DoJo and/or JQuery *Web service integration using technologies such as XML, SOAP, REST *AJAX application including parsing and rendering XML and JSON *Version control and deployment systems methodology -Ability to work independently and autonomously on assigned projects from inception to completion. -Ability to identify issues and problem areas, either functional or performance related, and proactively respective solutions. -Project management experience -Good communication in a team environment, collaborative development experience, able to explain complex ideas and concepts to non-technical team members. -Superb attention to detail -Excellent oral and written communication skills -Passion for excellence, creativity, and team collaboration COMPENSATION: -Competitive salary based on qualifications -Medical, Dental, Group Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) & Group Long-Term Disability Insurance -401-(k) Plan Please send resume with cover letter to [email protected] or fax 248-370-6551
